R-Type Comic
Please note first off that this is totally FICTIONAL, and just a project I made up with Photoshop...........With that said, would an R-Type comic book or anime series be totally awesome? There is so much back story in the R-Type universe, you could have tons of characters - at least one pilot for most of the ships in the hangar from R-Type Final, bydo characters, crazy space battle scenes, humans grappling with Bydo technology, the Cerberus plight of being captured and rescued, mankind's messing with biotechnology and the danger it brings.......the possibilities are endless.
You may see more fictional R-Type comic book covers in the future. If I was a half decent artist, I'd draw some original covers, but I'm limited to using existing artwork.

Its a slow day when this is classified as "news"
Think of my blog as more of a "showcase" than just news...;)
But yeah, it is slow in the shmups world.....waiting on the announcement from Treasure about the new 360 game, and a few doujin previews, but other than those....
since i can't stand horizontal shmups...good pshop, but not more ;)

Sorry to tease you Bill - that's why I put a disclaimer as close to the start of the paragraph as I could....
Doubt we'll ever see this happen, but who know, maybe Image or some indy puslisher will do a graphic novel or something....I haven't read comics in years, no clue what's going on now....
I'm pretty sure I've seen some people doing R-Type related stuff in the Comiket catalog. Never really checked it out, though, since I'm more of a Cave/Taito freak. There's always next time!
