Raid over the River talks to Cubed3

Marek Okon spoke recently with the team from C3 about their upcoming Nintendo DS game, ROTR. What I found interesting is: the team is from Poland (not your first place to think of for shmups....), their influences are Ikaruga and the Pachi series, and gameplay is described as:

"First of all, we have some great new ideas to introduce to people. We’re gonna use some intuitive controls, that will be easy to learn yet deep enough to provide fun from using them. There’re gonna be some new approaches to boss fights, where you’ll have to use your ships special abilities - not only fire power. And finally there's gonna be a story mode, connected strictly to the onscreen action to allow players to identify more with the characters and the game itself. "
