The "Zun" of shmup models: 13B/Specter

One of the most fun things to collect in the world of shmup-dom has to be the replica models of the crafts featured in the games we love to play. Most anyone who takes the time to construct one of these knows what they're doing, and the end result turns out pretty good. I'm coining a new phrase here by saying "that's the Zun!" - meaning that one person, company, or thing stands out head and shoulders above the rest, and 13B/Specter is the Zun of shmup modelling. Just check out the insane amount of detail on the ships featured on Specter's home page. Anyone who enjoys either Ikaruga or Darius should be putting their eyeballs back into their sockets after seeing these beauties. If you want to have a go at putting one together for yourself, Hobbyfan has added the latest Ikaruga model from 13B/Specter to their webpage: Sirasagi. Or you could be like me, order a kit and keep it on the shelf because you're too afraid you'll destroy it trying to put it together (in most cases, instructions are not included.......).
