Ikaruga Manga

Courtesy of the Shmups.com forum, here are some pics of the Ikaruga manga, created by cantHUE. These look absolutely beautiful, and unfortunately I know very little about them, since they are extremely difficult to acquire outside of Japan. If anyone can get their hands on some copies, shoot me an email!

sorry to break this to you, but 'heterodox muse' is a doujinshi, a comic made by fans, not officially published and usually only sold in very small numbers at Comike (comic market), Japans biggest comic convention held twice a year. good luck trying to find a copy of this one.
Yeah, that's true, not only do I need to find someone who has been to Comiket and bought the doujinshis, but also can speak English, contact me, and is also willing to part with them. I know of a few people who have them, so I don't lose hope just yet. I've found rarer things on the internet, so you never know. That's why I mentioned them here also.... ;)
Find 2 copies, one for you and one for me and I'll pay for both :)
Sounds Fascinating :)
If I could, I would pick up quite a few of these due to their rarity and also the amount of demand for them........I do have some Japanese contacts, but no luck so far......but if I am able to sell these and other shooter related items in the future, I will mention them somewhere on the site.
Moving to Tokyo in November, hopefully I can learn more about this Comike thing and pick up some copies.
comiket. :)
Figured I should explain Comiket in a nutshell: It's a doujin festival that takes place twice a year, if I remember correctly. There's a Winter and a Summer Comiket, and they sell games and magazines and all kinds of fun stuff.....these Iky manga were sold out at previous Comikets, making them very hard to find. It might even pay to go straight to Can'tHUE and ask for any extra copies, I have no idea if he can print back issues or how doujin mangas are even printed......
Those Dojin Manga's : beautifully produced, very small print runs. The Japanese sales ethic is very different from Western values. I'd love to know how many issues it would take to justify a 2nd print run.
sorry, there is no 2nd print run. mangakas usually draw a new story for each comiket.
